About Beliaghata 33 No. Pallibashi Brinda
May we introduce ourselves as Beliaghata 33 No. Palli Bashi Brinda (known as Beliaghata 33 Palli), a non-profit association of like-minded people, based in Phoolbagan, Kolkata, engaged in various social, cultural and philanthropic activities, and assisting the poor and distressed in our locality and within its vicinity.

Time runs fast and does not wait for anyone. As usual, again, we will celebrate Durga Puja this year which is landing into its 25th year (silver jubilee). It is true that you, as our patrons, supporters and well-wishers have shown utmost faith in our little efforts, and we are carrying this trust from the past till date from you all to present in front of you the thematic decoration of the Durga Puja celebration.

This year won't be different for sure. We, the members of the club, are very much indebted to each and every one who has been a part of this silver jubilee celebration and are confident that with your support in the future, we will be able to introduce more new thematic Durga Pujas and contribute to the welfare of the society at large.
Durga Puja is just round the corner and preparations are in full swing to celebrate the same with the festive fervour. Like any other lane and by-lanes of Calcutta who hosts at least one puja and plan the celebration, we at Beliaghata 33 Palli are no exception. Our club first started celebrating durga puja in a very low key in 2001. Slowly we started to improve upon the celebration in terms of adopting the theme fever, which caught many clubs by surprise to attract crowd. Since 2016 our club has created a name for itself in the various themes which were put forth every year while celebrating the Puja and have earned a place of its own among other big clubs in the segment. With the help of our artist Mr Shib Sankar Das, we were able to create a puja mandap titled “Taxi Mandap”, which was flooded with huge crowd and created history not within Kolkata, but around the world. Our club had received various rewards in this regard.
Organising of Summer Blood Donation Camps, Free Health Check-up Camps, Dental Check-up Camps, Eye (cataract) Operation Camps for the less privileged, distribution of clothes, mosquito nets, winter blankets and medicines to the poor and distribution of educational materials to the under privileged children are some of the activities that we undertake every year without fail. As part of our CSR activities, we have organised summer blood donation camp and sapling plantation activities also. We are also delighted to inform you that we have scaled up such activities during these trying times especially during Covid-19 pandemic as well as Amphan cyclone (2020) & Yash cyclone (2021). During March 2021, our club provided free oxygen, free medicines, free foods and daily needs to local residents.
Hope this year Maa Durga when she descends from the Himalayas to earth, brings with her lots of good wishes and peace which is the need of the day today. Let her give us enough strength to overcome all our negativeness and give us enough strength to stay united for ever. Let us forget all creed and caste and believe in ourselves and help each other in whatever way possible to keep everyone happy.
We take this opportunity to thank you all for your unstinted support and request you to come in large numbers during the puja and make it a grand success.
Happy Puja!
